Trigeminal Neuralgia is a cranio-facial pain that results due to an irritation / compression caused to trigeminal nerve which is one of the 12 cranial nerves that originates directly from brain, recedes down on both sides of face and branches out to forehead, cheeks and jaw. The pain usually affects one side of the face or rarely both the sides and are triggered by actions like brushing, chewing, exposure to cold wind. Sciatica is the pain that radiate down the sciatic nerve to either of the legs or both of them. The pain or discomfort starts from one side of the lower back and radiates down to thigh, calf and upto toe.
