Sciatica is the pain that radiate down the sciatic nerve to either of the legs or both of them. The pain or discomfort starts from one side of the lower back and radiates down to thigh, calf and upto toe. This may be due to an old injury or herniated disc / disc bulge in the lower part of the spine or a spur causing compression at the root of the sciatic nerve. Mostly this occur on one leg with or without back pain.
