CHIKUNGUNYA ARTHRITIS & MUSCULAR PAIN

Chikungunya Arthritis is a condition that can develop in individuals after they recover from a Chikungunya viral fever. This type of arthritis closely resembles autoimmune diseases due to the joint pain and inflammation that can persist for weeks, months, or even years after the acute viral infection. The immune system's response to the Chikungunya virus can trigger this inflammatory arthritis, often characterized by severe joint pain, swelling, and stiffness, particularly in the wrists, ankles, and fingers. At Dr. Nambiar's Advanced Ayurveda in Aundh, Pune, patients experiencing post-Chikungunya arthritis find significant relief through specialized Ayurvedic treatments. These treatments focus on alleviating pain, reducing inflammation, and restoring mobility to the affected joints. The therapy and medications prescribed are tailored to detoxify the body, balance the doshas, and strengthen the immune response. Within a week to ten days of starting the therapy, patients typically report marked improvement in joint movement and a significant reduction in pain. Certain specific Ayurvedic approaches and herbal formulations are key components in the treatment protocol, promoting faster recovery and helping patients regain their quality of life.

Effective Treatment For Diabetic Neuropathy, Diabetic Foot Ulcer

Diabetes can cause nerve damage and poor circulation, especially if a person has difficulty managing blood sugar levels. This can lead to foot ulcers, blisters, pain, and foot infections. The combination of sensory and motor peripheral neuropathies results in uneven foot pressure load and poor gait. Over time, hyperkeratosis of the compressed skin will form a hematoma and break due to neuropathy and increased pressure load, eventually developing into an ulcer that is difficult to heal. Studies on diabetic foot ulcers and diabetic neuropathy patients at Dr.Nambiars Advanced Ayurveda situated at Aundh, Pune are really encouraging. The result and the duration in healing of the diabetic foot ulcers depend on the degree of damage happened and the amount of oxygenated blood supply being received by the tissue. In case of severe diabetic foot ulcer or gangrene, the patient need not ampute the whole leg or a larger area, but precisely can operate and remove only the part that are completely dead or necrosed. The rest of the part can be saved from amputing and would remain healthy. The existing wound can heal faster than before by administering the method of treatment and medications developed at Dr.Nambiar's Advanced Ayurveda, Aundh, Pune.

Treatment For Arthritis / Osteo-arthritis

The fact that we have'nt ever realised is that 95 % of the joint diseases do not require surgery. Any kind of inflamation associated with or without pain in joints are called as Arthritis. Among the types of arthritis, the commonly seen are - Osteo-arthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Gout arthritis, Psoriatic arthritis and Septic arthritis. Dificiencies in vitamins & minerals  especially calcium and vitamin-D can also lead to certain joint diseases.  There are few viral diseases that affect the immunity, cause weekness and debilitate the joint function like chikungunia. Joint deformity caused over a period of time either due to excess wear and tear or as a result of chronic degenerative joint diseases  may require surgical intervention to restore mobility. Therefore in such cases partial or total joint replacement are recommended. Majority of the cases who are recommended with Joint replacement surgery are Osteo arthritis or AVN sufferers. Osteo- arthritis is a degenerative joint disease. Osteo arthritis in the initial and 2nd degree can be treated and restored to its normal function and in 3rd degree  the process of degeneration could be arrested /deleyed and maintained with effective ayurvedic therapies and certain exercises. In 4th degree of OA where the miniscus  between the knee joints are worn out and the bones touch each other to erode their surfaces and the joint goes out of alignment then knee replacement is the last resort. It is true that maximum of the joint diseases do not require surgery but among the rest of them which required surgery some are because of our negligence, ignorance  and lack of awareness about the disease and its proper treatment. If proper measures are taken in the very early stage, we can arrest or deley even the degenerative joint diseases like osteo-arthritis and Avascular-necrosis which are  recommended with surgery after the condition deteriorates to the 3rd or 4th stage. Thus preserving and maintaining the wellness of joints should be given a priority.
