Treatment For Avascular Necrosis (AVN)

Avascular necrosis is a degenerative disease that affect the hip joints.The bone tissue in the head of the femur degenerates and dies due to the lack of blood supply in them and collapse into the joint socket. This problem developes in the later periods due to trauma, happened in the past that had affected the hip. This may also develope as an after effect of prolonged or higher dosage of steroid medication. Usually Partial / total Hip Joint Re-placement or core decompression surgery are the procedure recommended depending on the degree of damage occured.
